The Contra Costa Network of Care is a community of care and service providers who work with families.

As a network, we turn referrals into relationships, system ruptures into repair, and awareness of one another into a realization of community and collective work.

No one of us, alone can do this work. Let’s lean on one another—our community of practitioners across Contra Costa County—to integrate trauma-informed practices into who we are and how we work.

The Contra Costa Network of Care initially began with a grant awarded to First 5 Contra Costa from California’s ACEs Aware Initiative—a statewide effort to encourage universal clinical screening for ACEs. Through the work, we learned that collective impact requires trusting relationships and aligned efforts.

In First 5 Contra Costa's ongoing role as a convener—with a focus on capacity building towards systems change so all children thrive—we continue to provide professional development opportunities and connections to resources on how to prevent, screen, treat, and heal childhood adversity and toxic stress.

Whether you’re a medical provider, therapist, family partner, resource navigator, social worker, community organizer, teacher, coach, or parent, you’re part of this network if you play a part in preventing, identifying, treating, or healing adverse childhood experiences and trauma.
